Happy New Year!

Isaiah 43:18-19
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

I would have never written this past year for our family. It has been our hardest and messiest yet. We ended the year with one of our lowest of lows, broken hearts, deep disappointment, and absolutely no direction for the future. But God has been with us the entire time. carrying us, drawing us close, and sitting with us in our grief.

Providence is one of the beautiful things that came out of this past year. It is a place for me to share what God has done in my heart in a very hard season. It is a place to encourage others to experience the providence of God in hard circumstances. I believe that Providence is a place where God has used (and will continue to use) suffering for His glory.

Because of the unexpected events in December, I have, through prayer, decided to take a break in January. I plan to study, write, and heal so I can share more of what God is doing in my life. I pray that each of you continue to stay encouraged as you walk into this New Year. No matter what you are experiencing this month, may you continue to walk in the protective care of God.

With all my love,

Caroline
